By Unseen Images Theatre (other events)

8 Dates Through Sep 24, 2016

Howler's Theatre & Unseen Images Theatre presents Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM in an enviromental theatre setting at Stonewall Bar Orlando.

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM is a comedy written by William Shakespeare between 1590 and 1597. It portrays the events surrounding the marriage of Theseus, the Duke of Athens, to Hippolyta. These include the adventures of four young Athenian lovers and a group of six amateur actors who are controlled and manipulated by the fairies who inhabit the forest in which most of the play is set. This particular production will be employing lots of gender bending of the characters in a very non-traditional way that gives it a very modern and updated flare.

Under the co-direction of Scott Browning & Jamie DeHay, the production will star Tiana Akers, Nick Lubke, Domino Thomas, Scott Browning, Monica Mulder, Melissa Dianna Coakley, Emile Doles, Sean Kerrigan, Todd Craft, Marcie Schwalm, Amy Bebout, Clare Ghezzi, Sloan Friedman, Billy Thompson, and Jimmy Johnson. It will feature choreography by April Tubbs.

Although the performances will take place outdoors, the audience will be completely covered from rain and all performances will go on rain or shine. Due to the location of the show, only guests 21+ will be admitted.
